Home At Last is a Nebraska-certified agency based in Omaha that provides support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. They offer Shared living homes, where individuals live with caregivers in a family-like setting, and Backup Staff services to assist families needing temporary relief. Their mission is to create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment to help individuals develop daily living skills and achieve personal goals. Â The agency was incorporated on April 19, 2010, and began operations on December 3, 2011, under the ownership of Alfredo Hasson.

Alfredo Hasson
Chief Executive Officer
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I have established a diverse career leading to the creation of Home At Last, LLC in Omaha. My professional career began as a Banking Center Manager at Bank of America, where I honed my skills in financial management and customer service. I then served as the General Manager of Sam's Club in St. Louis, further enhancing my leadership and retail management abilities. My experience also includes serving as a Human Resources Manager for a Housing Development agency, where I promoted a positive work culture and implemented key HR policies. With my extensive expertise, I relocated to Omaha to launch Home At Last, LLC, dedicated to helping clients find their ideal homes. I am also a certified Notary in Nebraska.

Colleen Hughes
Residential Manager

Colleen Hughes is the Residential Manager at Home at Last, with over 20 years of experience supporting children and adults with disabilities. She is dedicated to fostering a safe and comfortable environment for participants and positively impacting her team and service providers. Committed to ongoing professional development, Colleen is a certified instructor in CPR and MANDT. She was recently nominated for the Excellence in Innovation awards for her exceptional service. Additionally, she holds a Notary certification in the State of Nebraska.

Aimee Addison
Quality Assurance Specialist
Aimee Addison is the Quality Assurance Specialist at Home at Last, with over 20 years of experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Throughout her career, she has worked in various roles, including direct support professional, independent provider, shared living provider, and advisor for an ARC of NE self-advocacy group. Aimee is a certified MANDT trainer and a Notary in Nebraska. She is committed to professional development and has expertise in documentation best practices, person-centered planning, and advocacy. Her passion lies in improving the quality of life for adults with I/DD. Outside of work, Aimee is married, has a dog and two cats, and enjoys crafting, traveling, scuba diving, and celebrating Halloween.

Jill Meyer
Training Coordinator
Jill Meyer has been with Home At Last since February 2018, initially serving as an Office Assistant before becoming the Training Coordinator in April 2021. In her current role, she ensures that Shared Living Providers and Respite Providers fulfill their training and certification requirements to comply with Home At Last and state regulations. Before joining the organization, Jill raised five daughters and managed hotels while improving operations in Iowa and Kansas. After nearly 14 years, she returned to her hometown of Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she lives with her pets—a Husky named Mia, a Doberman Pinscher named Koko, and a Calico cat named Cali. In her spare time, Jill enjoyed exploring small towns with her late husband Art, photographing churches and interesting buildings and has continued to enjoy exploring other small towns. , Jill loves researching genealogy and her family Norwegian heritage, other interest Jill enjoys in her spare time is crocheting, quilting, and spending quality time with her family on monthly outings. She also holds a Notary certification in the State of Nebraska.

Michelle Smith, MSN,RN
Registered Nurse
Michelle R. Smith is a Registered Nurse from St. Louis, Missouri, with licenses in multiple states. She began her nursing career in 1991 and became an LPN in 1997, an RN in 1999, and a Nursing Professor in 2019. Michelle holds a master's degree in nursing education and has experience in various healthcare areas, including acute rehab, cardiac care, behavioral health, and nursing education. She is passionate about advocating for her clients while also working as a charge nurse and caring for patients at the bedside. Outside of her professional life, Michelle is married, has two adult daughters and a granddaughter, and is the guardian of her two young nieces. She enjoys traveling, encouraging youth, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance through activities like walking.

Jawanda Mackey, LPN
Licensed Practical Nurse
Jawanda Mackey, LPN, is a small business owner of DJ Care Nebraska LLC, specializing in nursing consulting and oversight. A proud native of Omaha, Nebraska, she has over 35 years of leadership and supervisory experience in healthcare, with 15 years in long-term care and skilled nursing and 22 years in the long-term care pharmacy sector. Her expertise includes coordinating care, training medication aides, and understanding regulatory standards. In 2018, she established her consulting agency to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and in 2020, she became a Shared Living Provider, which she finds highly rewarding. Married for 35 years, she has two adult daughters and enjoys spending time with family, caring for her pets, and engaging in arts and crafts, music, and HGTV.
